Challenged by Bill Rowe that maybe Labrador wouldn't be so keen on this whole separatism (from Canada, anyway) thing, Noble responds:
The way I feel about it, you hear that talk, and Labrador has been short-changed over the years, they haven't gotten their fair share, but there' s something about Newfoundland and Labrador that's inseparable, historically, and as a matter of mutual pride, I think that would take quite a jarring.Canada is divisible, but Newfoundland and Labrador is not divisible.
Now where, oh where, have we heard this type of thing before?
Next up: the Newfoundland nationalists and crypto-separatists will start airing their historic grievances over losing the North Shore, Anticosti, and the Magdalen Islands.
