Access to Information

Where you can find the election finance reports, required under law, from last fall's provincial by-election in The Straits–White Bay North district: in Rob Antle's grubby, ink-stained fingers.

Where you can't find them: on the website of Elections Dannystan, where the most recent by-election financials are from 2008.

Speaking of media coverage (though not the ink-stained variety), with Premier Williams' return to work today, the health drama enters another act.

Despite the houls to forget about the whole thing, the story carries its own narrative momentum, and back-to-work day will be followed (later rather than sooner) with back-to-House day.

Say what you want about CBC -- and God knows, plenty has been said -- but they are not backing away from this story. While VOCM reports the Premier's return like, well, VOCM, CBC continues to report on the controversy surrounding his medical treatment.

Blacklisting, schmacklisting, though this will no doubt prompt another political paddlin'.
