Plans
From the Ministry of Truth on Friday:
HNL Has Big Plans for Next Decadeand on Sunday:
Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador has big plans for the next decade. "Vision 20/20" aims to double tourism revenue in the province over the next ten years. Chair John Dicks says it will take work, but it can be done. He told the Rotary Club of St. John's Thursday that one of the first steps will be to address access. He says that takes in Marine Atlantic and air access. He says we also need to develop a transportation network to help people get around when they are here.
HNL Hopes Tourism will Increase in Coming YearsBig plans.
Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador wants to see tourism in this province doubled over the next few years. The new chairman of HNL, John Dicks, likes how the province is positioned to attract tourists but would like to see activity pick up during non-peak months. in particular, he sees Parks Canada as an entity which could play a role in that regard.
For the next decade.
For what other people should be doing.

Gee.
Double budgets and now a double result in only a few years.
I wonder if they have actually had any luck in increasing the number of outside visitors (real tourists) as those budgets have been doubling.
And parks Canada has a role to play. That's certainly true, but maybe the Hospitality folks could have helped by publicly and openly supporting then in the struggle against an idiotic scheme last year.
