More from the MythWeaver

“Newfoundland and Labrador should have the benefit of its hydro-electric power, and that includes making the other provinces follow the constitution!”

So sayeth Comrade Bill Rowe today to the first caller to the Two-Hour Daily Hate.

Question for Comrade Rowe:

Which provision of the constitution has not, hitherto, been followed?

Further question:

If the province so desperately wants an interprovincial power corridor, why has it never applied for one, under the powers which the Trudeau government, over the objections of Quebec, gave to the National Energy Board over 25 years ago?

Final question:

Have you never heard of the open access transmission tariff?

It’s so easy to perpetuate the “Quebec refuses to give us a power corridor” myth.

And, it would seem, it’s so hard for anyone – even Danny Williams or Ed Martin, who listen to the open line shows as much or more than anyone – to debunk it.
