Ivan Morgan, feminist at large

It's nice to see Ivan Morgan in touch with his feminist (not to be confused with feminine) side. In his column-cum-open letter to "Richard Raleigh", he writes:

With all the testosterone-charged ink flying about lately, let me make one point completely clear: outside the fact that for the life of me I cannot fathom what possessed your publisher to run you, my issue is with you and you alone.

From time to time I get e-mails from other scribblers in the biz, asking me why I don’t write on local politics now that I am a reporter for The Independent.

Some of these are veiled taunts, the writers invariably male.

...

I don’t know who you are (although I suspect you’re male, from your silly posturing),
Ivan, of course, is a columnist for the NWS, along side Ryan Cleary himself, and Mark Wood, Patrick O'Flaherty, Paul Smith and Mark Callahan. Males, the lot of them.

Only the presence of Pam Pardy Ghent keeps the stable from being a total — what's the phrase? — testosterone-charged, wienerfest.
