Nothing personal
How can you tell when someone is punching ODP close to the kidneys?
He blurts out filth like this:
And then you get this narrow-minded, simple-minded comment. ... Basically Lorraine Michael comes out and says you can't spend that kind of money. If Lorraine Michael was running this province, God help us. That's all I can say.Remember, folks, this is coming out of the same condescending, hypocritical mouth that decries “personal attacks” – at least when the person being “attacked” is Himself.
(Incidentally, what kind of parallel universe have we entered into, where the Dippers are calling for spending restraint, and the nominally “Conservative” Premier is spending like a White Fleet sailor?)

The world is even more bizarre.
The Connies in this instance are in favour of handing out gobs of taxpayer cash free of charge, interest or fear of repayment.
The 500K to Rolls-Royce is a gift. A present. A hand-out. A freebie.
It is not invested in any way any of the rest of us understand the word since there is no tie on getting the cash to anything other than holding a news conference promising to do stuff sometime in the vaguely defined future.
What they have created eseentially is a series of giant slush funds into which they can dip apparently without much control of restriction.
When was the last time this province had a government that tossed money at business just for the sake of doing it?
The 1920s?
