NO THEY ARE NOT!

They might be pressing him, or pressuring him, or trying to convince him. But they are NOT "lobbying" him.

From the Ministry of Truth (Provincial):

The city and the province have once again stepped up to the plate with funding, but this year the federal government has also donated over thirty-thousand for the festivities.

NOT IT HAS NOT!

It may have granted, or funded, or contributed. But it has NOT "donated", even if, in Dannystan, many people are understandably confused on the distinction.
