Sycophant of the Month: June 2008

Belated posting — thank you, Canada Day.

Total number of ProvGov press releases issued in June: 155 (-52 from May, which was a CRA polling month.)

Total number with the phrase "Williams Government": 9 (-12 from May, which was a CRA polling month.)

Sycophancy index: 5.8% (-4.3% from May, do., do.)

Last month's champion, Dianne Whalen, collapses, with just one shot in net. The once-mighty Joan Burke, scoreless for the month for the first time since August 2007, runs the risk of being sent down to the minors. Kathy Blunderdale and Dave Denine also get singles in; his first since March 2008; her first since March 2006!

Trevor Taylor breaks a more than month-long drought, putting in his first two since April.

Which means that your June sycophant of the month, with three notches on his belt, is Tom Marshall! Congratulations Tom!

However — on style points, Ken Morrissey gets the first ever ad-hoc Commendation Extraordinary for Non-Ministerial Service to the Cult of Personality. Congratulations, Ken!
