Now that Violence Prevention Month is behind us...

"The Provincial Government and community organizations work hard year-round to eliminate violence in our province," said the Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Lead Minister of the Violence Prevention Initiative (VPI) and Minister Responsible for the Status of Women. "To raise awareness of this significant social issue in our province, we have designated February as Violence Prevention Month to encourage Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to take action against violence."
That was Minister Kathy Dunderdale on February 2nd.

So, on the same day that The Provincial Government — sorry, The Newfoundland and Labrador Government — rolls out yet another "piece" of its Violence Prevention Strategy — sorry, Violence Prevention Plan — no, sorry again, Violence Prevention Initiative — it's pretty obvious that someone didn't get the memo.

Violence is bad, mkay? And just so we're clear here, shooting people is a form of violence. A really bad one.
