Shipboard life

From Michael Johansen's column this week:

No wonder Tourism Minister Kathy Dunderdale says visitor numbers don’t warrant the government spending any money on information centres in Labrador. It might be different if her department were actually doing something to get people to travel to the province’s extraordinary mainland region, instead of making it as hard as possible for them.

Setting aside the little oopsie that Clyde Jackman is the Minister of Whale-Watching, Johansen's column (coming tomorrow to another Transcontinental paper near you) makes a lot of good points. Some of which sound oddly familiar.

As for conditions aboard the Sir Robert Bond... it's not as if the Newfoundland and Newfoundland Department of Tourism haven't already heard all about it.

They just couldn't be bothered to care.
