Sycophant of the Month: May 2009
Total number of ProvGov press releases issued in May: 180 (+11 from April)
Total number with the phrase "Williams Government": 14 (-4 from April)
Sycophancy index: 7.8% (-2.9 % from April)
Last month’s champ Trevor Taylor again shows what he’s made of. He opens the May scoring on the first, and answers himself on the sixth.
Patty Pottle puts one in; Trevor has an answer for it.
Tom Marshall gets in the game, assisted by a ref who doesn’t call him on the penalty; Trevor doesn’t let it go to his head.
Susan Sullivan tips it in, assisted by Joan Burke, but they’re no match for Trevor Taylor.
Darin King puts it between the posts. So does the Trevstor.
Tom Marshall and Darin King get their second points of the month, uninterrupted, but you can be sure Trevor Taylor would have something to say about that. And he did, replying to King’s goal later the same day, and belatedly to Marshall to close out the month.
When the buzzer sounds, Patty Pottle and Susan Sullivan are on the board with one apiece, and Tom Marshall and Darin King each have a pair (of goals, that is). Walking off with eight, and the monthly title, without even breaking a sweat, it’s back-to-back winner, your May Sycophant of the Month, Trevor Taylor!
Great match!
