Ha ha, very funny

On September 2, 2009, Dear Leader let it be known that he was "only kidding" about running transmission lines from the imaginary Lower Churchill project through Gros Morne National Park.

(In fairness, a week later, he let it be known that he was only kidding about only kidding. He was meta-kidding.)

This was less than four weeks after NALCO(R), writing to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, made it clear that it was not kidding at all:
Nalcor is currently in the process of finalizing a technical review of various options for the proposed Labrador - Island Transmission Link project, in particular the routing option along Nalcor's existing right of way through Gros Morne National Park. It is anticipated that this review will be finalized over the next few weeks and a response will be forthcoming.
