Open, accountable, and consulting

From the July 30th issue of The Labradorian, and its Happy Valley-Goose Bay council report for the week:
[Town Councillor Stanley] Oliver opened the forum with some questions as to what exactly is taking place at Gull Island and Muskrat Falls in relation to NL Hyrdo's [sic] Lower Churchill project. He says in recent weeks, there has been significant activity at the site and he's surprised the town doesn't know what is taking place there given that Mr. Gilbert Bennett (Vice-president of the Lower Churchill project) committed to keeping the town in the loop.
Surprising, indeed... given the current government promised to be the most open and accountable government in the history of government, ever, anywhere... and given it also promised to consult widely with Labradorians as it — here's where you snigger — "goes it alone" on the so-called Lower Churchill.
